Mr. Sweet’s 30th birthday in Palm Springs

30th birthdays are meant to be celebrated in an epic way, so for Mr. Sweet, Palm Springs was the entrusted place to celebrate his birthday milestone.

Right after Mr. Sweet’s intimate dinner at Herb and Wood, a friendly brunch at TRUST, many bites of rich homemade carrot cake, and a few rounds of Fibbage, we were on our way to Palm Springs.

Yes, epic in an adulting way!

Getting there was thrilling because it was our first time visiting Palm Springs. Oh, and Mr. Sweet rented a Porsche 718 Cayman! The experience was his birthday gift to himself. And he deserved it, especially because he had been researching the sports car for a while.

The 718 has an electrifying hue of blue with impressive technology on the inside. I felt the power of what being in a Porsche feels like, even as a passenger. And with palm trees all around, it was like being in a Hollywood movie.

From having a relaxing stay at Sagewater Spa, checking out The Pink Door, eating at Rooster and the Pig and experiencing how cold Mount San Jacinto gets during winter, Mr. Sweet’s birthday weekend was a classic one. And that’s what made it epic.

Love endures throughout the ages no matter how it looks like or how often it happens. Good friends, good food, and novelty were all there but this time solely for Mr. Sweet’s 30th birthday.

Here are a few photos of our short but splendid weekend and suggestions on what to do in Palm Springs. There’s also a Google Map at the very end to guide you during your next weekend getaway there.
